Study concludes allergic reactions of Gardasil vaccine uncommon
An Australian study investigating allergic reactions after vaccination of Merck & Co Inc's cervical cancer vaccine, Gardasil, was reported in the British Medical Journal. Based on the outcome of 375,000 doses of the vaccine administered between August 2006 and July 2008 as well as 25 skin tests on participants with suspected hypersensitivity, researchers claimed that allergic reactions induced by Gardasil were uncommon and that most young women were able to tolerate subsequent doses.
